Mahjong Workshop w/ Social Hour Tile Club

Join Social Hour Tile Club for a beginner friendly introduction to Filipino style Mahjong, where you'll learn the game in a fun, welcoming environment designed for first time players.
This hands on workshop includes in depth instruction covering the rules, gameplay, strategy, and tile reading, giving you the confidence to join your next game. Come solo or bring a friend, it's a chance to learn something new, meet fellow tile lovers, and enjoy a few hours of community around the table.

Join us Thursday, June 18th from 6–8PM for an evening dedicated to the art of strawberry shortcake from scratch. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll focus on biscuit-making technique, perfectly macerated strawberries, and fresh whipped cream—the dreamy trio behind a truly great shortcake.
You’ll learn foundational baking techniques, assemble your own dessert, and leave with the skills to recreate it all summer long. Whether you’re a confident baker or just here for the strawberries and cream, this class is designed to be approachable, cozy, and very delicious.

Butter & Blooms ft Frental Butter
Join us for Butters & Blooms, a hands-on compound butter workshop celebrating seasonal flavors, beautiful ingredients, and simple ways to elevate everyday meals.
Each guest will receive butter from our event sponsor, Frental Butter, and create three unique compound butters to take home. Throughout the evening, you’ll blend fresh and flavorful mix-ins while learning pairing ideas and inspiration for serving.

Japanese Tea Tasting w/ ESTE
Japanese tea, rooted in place, season, and care.
Join us for a 90-minute guided tasting of Sencha, Wakocha, and Houjicha, and learn what’s in your cup and why it tastes the way it does.
All materials are provided, plus a few snacks along the way. You’ll also leave with a loose leaf sample to take home.
Hosted by ESTE, a San Diego tea company working directly with small Japanese producers, each tea reflects the place, season, and hands that made it.

Natural Dye Workshop
Spend an evening playing with color, texture, and botanicals at our Natural Dye Workshop.
Using natural dye materials, each guest will create two one-of-a-kind flour sack towels to take home. We’ll explore simple dye techniques, earthy tones, and the beauty of imperfect patterns—no experience needed.
